Digital Wanderer

Tomorrow is the exam. An easy one. On 4 programming languages at once.
Here they are:
Ada, Java, Python, C++.
Fortunately, not on the languages in their entirety, but on oddly selected fragments of them.

Misha and I were just sitting here, reading about explicit constructors, const methods, and the const_cast keyword. An interesting feeling arose. I've felt it for a long time, but now I can put it into words.

The C++ language was not created for writing programs. It was created to demonstrate to the world that programmers are people with complex and rich inner lives. People with their own quirks. People who want to be considered more interesting and intelligent than mathematicians and philosophers. People who can Create with a capital C, without regard for the narrow constraints of reason, simplicity, rationality, and convenience.

There is simply no other way to explain these monstrous constructs.
